At 23:59, Paris time.
On 20 August 2026 we read the European Nintendo eShop: all 2,993 deals then running carried an end date, and all of them ended on the same minute — 21:59 UTC, which is 23:59 in Paris. Without a single exception.

What it changes when you buy
A deal that “ends on 26 August” ends on the evening of the 26th, not that morning: you have the whole day. The other way round, a deal shown as ending today stops tonight — you do not have twenty-four hours, you have whatever is left before 23:59.
On the evening of the reading, 171 deals stopped on that minute.
Which day deals end on
Thursday first — it is the day Nintendo opens its new promotions, so it is the day the previous ones go out. Tuesday is the quietest day of the week. Here are the 2,993 deals of the reading, by the day they end.
- Thursday 505
- Friday 502
- Saturday 502
- Wednesday 451
- Monday 410
- Sunday 375
- Tuesday 248
How long a deal lasts
Twenty-three days, at the median. The shortest in the reading ran for one day, the longest for twenty-nine. So an eShop deal is almost never a matter of hours — but its last day is settled before 23:59.
Why the app does not simply assume that time
This reading was taken on a summer day. Nothing guarantees the time holds when Europe goes back to winter time, or that Nintendo will not change its mind. So Cardslot applies no rule: it reads the end date the eShop publishes for each deal and shows that one. When a deal has no end date, the app does not invent one.
How many deals are running right now?The questions that come with it
A deal ends today — how long have I got?
Until 23:59 Paris time, going by the reading of 20 August 2026, where all 2,993 running deals ended on that minute. Cardslot shows the time left to the hour, and keeps a separate list for what stops tonight.
How often are there sales on the eShop?
Constantly: 2,993 deals were running on 20 August 2026, an ordinary day with no announced sale. What changes is the volume — Thursday is when the most deals go out and the next ones begin.
Do deals end at the same time in every country?
At the same absolute minute, yes: 21:59 UTC for every deal in the reading. It is the local time that differs. 23:59 in Paris, Berlin, Madrid and Rome; 22:59 in Lisbon and London.
How do I know a discount is actually worth it?
The percentage alone does not say: −70% on a €60 game and on a €2 game is not the same news. Cardslot ranks every deal with a score that weighs the discount, the euros actually kept, and where that discount sits in the game’s own history.
Cardslot shows that time on every deal.
The whole list is free, ranked by what is actually worth having, with each deal’s end date to the hour.
